Historic Jewish Atlanta Tours: Westview Cemetery

Experience History at its Source!

Explore one of Atlanta’s oldest cemeteries with local historian and author, Jeff Clemmons, who is currently writing a book on the history of the cemetery. Opened in 1884 with nearly six hundred acres of land, Westview was designed to be the premier cemetery of the Southeast.

10-10:30am: Welcome and nosh
10:30-11:30: Tour
Price
FREE for members
$10 for Non-Members
Parking: Park in the lot by the main office off of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW. The tour will begin by the Gatehouse (large building with a belltower).

    Jewish Genealogical Society Meeting

    Do you have documents, photographs, or family heirlooms stashed away in shoe boxes in the attic, basement, or closet? Then there is no time like the present to organize and preserve those items for future generations to learn their family heritage. Join the Jewish Genealogical Society of Georgia as our featured speaker, Jeremy Katz, Archives Director at the Breman Museum, conducts a workshop on preserving your family history. Participants are encouraged to bring items from their family collections they wish to be examined for preservation.
