    In honor of this season of thanks, we would like to invite Breman Members to bring their friends and family, free of charge, to the museum.* We will be serving bagels and light refreshments all day. *To receive free admission, all non-member visitors must be accompanied by a current Breman member.

    From Darkness to Light

    Join Conductor Juan Ramirez and Cantor Lauren Adesnik as members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Emanu-El Youth Choir perform a very special Vedem-inspired Hanukkah concert, From Darkness to Light. This concert highlights inspiring music from the Holocaust, melodic Sephardic tunes and uplifting Hanukkah favorites.

    Historic Jewish Atlanta Tour: MACoM – Metro Atlanta Community Mikvah

    Join us for our next Historic Jewish Atlanta Tour at The MACoM Metro Atlanta community Mikvah. The mikvah is an essential gateway to Judaism. For those who convert to (or are adopted into) Judaism, immersion in this special pool of water that meets certain ritual criteria is the act that makes them part of our Jewish people, and it is essential for many other lifecycle and spiritual uses as well.

    Bearing Witness: Eugen Schoenfeld (Czechoslovakia)

    Eugen survived the Holocaust in the notorious camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Dachau. Yet after the war, when given the chance to kill one of the most brutal guards, he refused. What powers led Eugen to give up hostility to his enemies? The former Chair of the Department of Sociology at Georgia State University, Eugen will reflect on this question and other aspects of rebuilding life from the brink of destruction.
