My Family Story: Unit 6 - The Breman Museum

My Family Story - Unit 6

Connect the Younger Generation to their Jewish History and Heritage!

Beit Hatfutsot, the Museum of Jewish People, and the Breman Museum are excited to announce My Family Story, a fun-filled, meaningful journey of one’s Jewish family history! Jewish kids, ages 11-15, can explore their own family’s genealogy and traditions in this six part series and transform their discoveries into an artistic installation.

My Family Story goes beyond the typical family tree. It connects the younger generation, between 12-15 years old, to their personal stories, their family stories, and the broader story of the Jewish people.

At the center of My Family Story is the Manuel Hirsch Grosskopf International Competition in Beit Hatfutsot. The competition brings together projects from young participants from Jewish institutions worldwide. Two winning projects from the United States are sent to Israel, where they join the My Family Story annual event and their work is displayed in an international exhibition at Beit Hatfutsot, the Museum of the Jewish People in Israel.

This program is FREE.

SPACE IS LIMITED TO 30 PARTICIPANTS. Register now to reserve your spot!
