Fun for the Entire Family!

Every Wednesday from June to July, bring your kids to cool down at the Breman and explore the exhibition Where the Wild Things Are: Maurice Sendak in his Own Words and Pictures. Through art, words, and fun interactive activities your children will pretend and play as if they were characters in some of their favorite books. This event is perfect for families and playgroups who are looking for something new.

All activities free with regular admission.

10:00 AM to 10:30 AM– Children’s book reading at Rosie’s stoop

10:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Drop-in craft making activity in the gallery’s classroom (new craft every week)

10:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Really Rosie animated short playing every half hour in Arbiser Theater

    EXHIBTIONS

    • Chasing Dreams : Baseball & Becoming American

This exhibition weaves together America’s favorite pastime, baseball, and its role in creating a national identity. Through films, footage, photographs, and a database of American Jewish ballplayers, Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Becoming American explores how baseball historically played a crucial role in understanding, and sometimes challenging, what it means to be American.

    • Vedem Underground: The Secret Magazine of Terezin : Vedem Underground

The exhibition examines the historic, cultural, and artistic legacy of VEDEM, a literary magazine written by courageous Jewish boys imprisoned at Terezin, a concentration camp and ghetto in German-occupied Czechoslovakia. The magazine was the only underground publication to be regularly produced by Nazi prisoners.
