ORAN ETKIN — Not since Benny Goodman and Eddie Daniels has one artist on clarinet captured the attention of critics and captivated audiences! His new release, OPEN ARMS (JAN 2024) brings musicians from all over the planet together in a hope-filled musical journey, uniting cultures and people from around the world!

We invite you to join us for an afternoon of live jazz at The Breman featuring the Oran Etkin Quartet performing music from their new album the Open Arms Project.

Enjoy the smooth sounds of Oran Etkin on clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone, alongside the amazing Kevin Hays on piano, Sam Minaei on bass, and Alvester Garnett on drums.
Come and experience the magic of live jazz in a relaxed atmosphere. Tickets are available now, and we'd love to have you join us for an afternoon filled with great music and good company.


In keeping with the Molly Blank Concert Series tradition, each show will be complemented by pre-performance receptions featuring professionally catered food inspired by the musical themes presented.     The Vega Quartet Performs Music of Jewish Composers

    Music of Mendelssohn, Gershwin, and Golijov is performed by the Vega Quartet, cellist Charae Krueger, and William Ransom, piano. Cellist Charae Krueger, Principal Cellist of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra and Professor of Cello at KSU performs Felix Mendelssohn’s brilliant Sonata in D Major with ECMSA Artistic Director William Ransom; the international award-winning Vega Quartet plays Osvaldo Golijov’s moving and timely “Tenebrae” (written in 2002 in response to violence in Israel); and Ransom plays the original solo piano version of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, celebrating the 100th year of it’s composition.

    Join us for a Something Special Sunday event presented by Marilyn Ginsberg Eckstein, featuring renowned Atlanta photographer Ron Sherman . The event will commence at 2 pm with a captivating presentation by Ron, showcasing his recently published coffee-table book titled "Witness: A Photographic Essay of Humor and Heart."

    Unforgettable Stories From the Holocaust - Ruth (Renee) Hartz

    Ruth (Renee) Hartz, is a dedicated Holocaust speaker addressing tolerance, prejudice, and discrimination. As a young girl ages 4 to 7, she was a hidden child with her family in southern France during World War II. She and her family were sheltered by local villagers, and she spent time in a small Catholic convent to avoid capture by both the Vichy French Police and the Gestapo. Through resourcefulness and unusually good fortune, she and her parents survived and returned to Paris after.
