Summary/Abstract:  Samuel Krasner was a Russian immigrant who lived in Atlanta for 37 years. He worked as a grocer and was active in the Jewish community. His papers consist of synagogue records and Atlanta Co-operative Credit Association records.

Biographical/Historical Note A native of Russia, Samuel Krasner immigrated to Atlanta in 1911.  He lived in Atlanta until his death in 1948. During this time, he worked as a grocer and an active member of the Jewish community. He was president of Anshe S’Fard Synagogue and a member of Beth Jacob Synagogue. He was married to Doris and they had a daughter, Esther, and four sons, David, Jack, Nathan, and  Norman. 

Scope and Content Researchers studying the Samuel Krasner Papers will gain insight into the involvement of Russian Jewish immigrants in the Atlanta community. All material is arranged in alphabetical order and chronologically within each folder.
