Biographical/Historical Note:  Ivan Millender was born in Atlanta and raised in Dalton, Georgia. He attended Emory and graduated from their law school in 1965. He worked for his father cotton textile mill until 1971 when he went into private practice. He has practiced law in Atlanta ever since.

In 1965, he married Shirley Hodes from Chattanooga. They had two children, Michael and Margaret.

Mr. Millender is an accomplished musician and runs the Cultural Arts series at Ahavath Achim Synagogue.

Scope and Content:  Researchers studying the Ivan Millender Papers will gain insight into Jewish life in Georgia. The papers are arranged in alphabetical order by subject and chronologically within each folder.
