Summary/Abstract:  Mr. Janis was a medic in WWII who settled in the Atlanta area after the war.  He ran for the New York State Assembly on the Labor Party Ticket prior to being drafted and was very active in The Jewish War Veterans of America after the war.  The collection contains a certificate of appreciation from Ronald Reagan, various speeches, an article he wrote, as well as class notes from his training as a medic.
