Biographical/Historical Note:  Irwin Koplan and his family live in Dalton, Georgia, and own the private detective business JJK Security & Investigation, Inc. They are involved in Jewish community and are members of Temple Beth El. The family is also actively involved in the nearby city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and owned the Family Shoe store.

Scope and Content:  Researchers studying the Irwin Koplan Family Papers will gain insight into Jewish life in Dalton (Ga.). The papers are arranged in alphabetical order by subject and chronologically within each folder.
