Biographical/Historical Note:  Archie Solomon, born in 1919 in Montreal, Canada. Short of the 8th grade education Mr. Solomon immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio. He earned 17 patents in the textile, automotive and truck garment racks distributed worldwide to machinery that cured airplanes wings, to fusing machines that sealed astronaut patches on the uniforms of 9 Apollo missions.  For nearly 40 years he was CEO of Archie Solomon Manufacturing.  Mr. Solomon was active in the Jewish community, receiving numerous awards for his business and civic activities.

Scope and Content

These records include business correspondence, catalogues, photographs, blueprints, etc. of Archie Solomon & Assoc. Inc., a designer and manufacturer of quality machinery.  The collection contains photos of his tour during WWII
