Biographical/Historical Note: Dixie Mintra lived in the city of Birmingham Alabama. Dixie Mintra worked for Federated Department Stores as an employee in Birmingham which would later become Rich’s Department Stores. Dixie Mintra worked for between the 1960s to the late 1990s until she retired.

Scope and Content: This collection contains the history of Rich's Department Store and later Federated Department Store from 1966 to 1997. Dixie Mintra collected magazines, newspaper articles, work documents, yearly annual reports, and other items while she worked for the company. It shows a good timeline of Rich's and eventually Federated Deparment Stores.
